ZF-9 DESCRIPTION
The ZF-9 from Zenith Firearms is a next-generation PCC engineered for precision, speed, and adaptability. Built on our proprietary MRDS (Modern Roller Delayed System) — a platform developed through years of focused experience with roller-delayed blowback firearms — the ZF-9 is designed for reliability, control, and versatility, all in a lightweight, compact package. Those interested in building or buying a bufferless 9mm AR PCC should consider this platform. Since it utilizes a roller-delayed blowback action it is completely bufferless and needs no gas system either. This revolutionary bufferless feature of the ZF-9 keeps it more compact than ARPs and sheds weight since no buffer system is needed. It is reliable, smooth shooting, and most importantly, potentially more compact than AR and other PCC builds that rely on a buffer system for operation. It also features fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety, bolt release, mag release, and non-reciprocating cocking handle, making it intuitive and easy to run for any shooter. The ZF-9 gives you the firepower and reliability of 9mm in a compact, smooth-shooting package that’s accurate, reliable and suppressor-ready.
It features fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety, bolt release, mag release, and non-reciprocating cocking handle, making it intuitive and easy to run for any shooter.
At Zenith, we’ve dedicated ourselves to mastering the roller-delayed system, refining its strengths and updating it for today’s shooters. With a last round bolt hold open, with Glock® mag compatibility, a full-length 1913 picatinny rail, and a 1913 picatinny rear end plate, the ZF-9 delivers proven performance with modern functionality — ready for duty, on the range, or whatever comes next.

Incredible shooter, easily beats the competition!
Let me just say: wow. I own several firearms and have shot multiple AR9-style platforms, including the CZ Scorpion (which still has a notable kick) and the PSA Jakl. I also own a Kel-Tec Sub-2000, which has incredibly harsh recoil—even with every upgrade installed, my shoulder hurts after just one or two magazines. The Zenith ZF-9 is a completely different story.
I almost bought a Stribog or a Kuna, but after seeing a video on the ZF-9, I was hooked. I ordered right before the Virginia ban took effect, so I had to wait about 11 weeks for delivery, but it was worth every single day.
When I got it home, I gave it a thorough clean and lube, and left the bolt locked back for a week to help break in the spring. At the range, I only had two failures to eject (FTE) out of four magazines, both occurring on the factory mag. My ETS extended magazine ran 100% flawlessly. It is an incredibly soft-shooting gun and an absolute joy to run!
