Running this 80 degree locking piece with a ZF5 / Dead Air Wolfman and it ran perfectly firing subs and supers. This is a good upgrade – you won’t be disappointed.

I installed the 80-degree locking piece on my ZF5. I’m running SilencerCo Omega 36M (shortened) with the threaded mount. For my range season I shot Remington 147 Subsonic 147 Gr, FNEB. Had no issues with this combo, everything fed and ejected perfectly. Very quiet, experienced no sonic cracks. In my opinion the 80-degree locking piece is the key to reliability when running a can on your ZF5, highly recommended upgrade.

80% is mainly for PDW suppressed: 5.5 barrel 80° #28W/suppressor LP
Standard for years for when should I change the locking piece?
MP5K (and clone variant) when suppressed
MP5 or MP5K when every other aspect is at the recommended specification (bolt gap, clean gun with proper ammunition)
When you are using proper ammunition, your gun parts are within specification, your bolt gap is good…(0.018) but you experience the following conditions:
excessive recoil
increased buffer wear/imprinting
roller dents in the rails
That is when you change your locking piece!
